Herb Simmens: Herb worked in state and local government, academia, and the private sector for over 35 years. Among his positions were Director of the New Jersey State Planning Commission, Executive Director of the New Jersey Higher Education Partnership for Sustainability, Atlantic County New Jersey Administrator, and Blue Moon Urban Fellow. He also taught at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and Stockton University. Herb has degrees from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and the Woodrow Wilson of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. He also attended the London School of Economics. Currently he is spending his time on the defining issue of our time - climate change. He lives and works in the Washington DC area.
